I tried Producteev in the past and I switch to Wunderlist for diffrent reasons. But I tried the new version or producteev on Mac today and Wunderlist is beaten ;) Thanks producteev :)

With all these GTD apps, I can never find one that allows enough subfolders/tasks. I need: Master folder/Client/[Multiple] Jobs/tasks (which are assignable to people or groups). I love the work thats been done on this, but I cant use it seriously as a real task manager, apart from groceries, etc.
I really love the simple interface and easy to use tools. I like the feature where you can connect with your team and designate tasks to get done, but where it gets you is that they charge for like $20 a month (and thats minimum) when you add more than 1 person onto your workspace/team.
Having a producteev account is horribly overpriced. In order to have more than one project and more than 2 people use it, you have to pay tons of money for each addictional workspace aka project. Instead of continuing to use it when we had more projects added to our list, we found an even better service that was free and offered the same functionality. You wont last for very long if you keep charging horrible prices.
Ive tried many todo and task tracking applications. Producteev gave me what I was looking for. Very clear, easy to use contexts that would hide all the other tasks. It gave cloud synch across platforms and devices which was critical to me. It provides a priority system which all other apps used order to deterine priority. Overall, I really love the app. However, the UI on platforms is a little inconsistent and the sorting of the tasks in the mac client seems random and doesnt update. If the App had time tracking I would give it 5 stars.
It works really well to manage my tasks so far. Its fast, free, and you can also manage your tasks in any computer you have it installed. Its very useful for my needs. Thanks for the good software!
Its an improvement on Things and Wunderlist in that you create Workspaces rather than Projects. The difference is a Workspace could be home or the office - things that are perpetrual. On the other hand, Projects are temporary groups of tasks that would check off the entire group. Quirks: + Setting a reminder for an All Day event goes off at 5pm by default. Theres no way to change this other than to specifically set the alarm time. + The sorting order that you set is not specific to each Workspace - its broad. So if you want Office to be sorted by deadline, and Reference to be sorted alphabetically - youre out of luck. Jerome at Producteev said this was not on the roadmap to change.
Good balance of features and simplicity.
I use the free version to manage tasks for my own personal consulting work. This Mac app works great, and its awesome when combined with the iPhone and web versions.
This is a solid piece of software. It works flawlessly, and just as they claim. Notifications are nice. The ability to choose between desktop application and web application is nice. Also, the option to use iPhone app is nice. All in all, it works great.
While I use iCal for organizing tasks I know I have to do, Producteev is the perfect tool to organize potential to-dos or simply type down ideas that have been lingering in my mind. The category system is great for this.
I love the ability to use shortcuts, which is why I prefer to use the Desktop app over the Web app. Plus, I can use it offline. One small idea for improvement: Add ability to change colours for labels. Its possible to do this on web verison.
Could use a few things in the app vs. web based program. Needs to have a calendar. Needs start and finish dates so you can see overlap between projects and tasks.
This is a great app for productivity/todo list. It does everything I need it to and does it well. It has sync between my devices apps for all my devices and is easy to learn and use. Plus its free with no annoying ads. Kudos to the team at Producteev for putting out great work. Some Minor Improvements... Something about the UI is not as tasteful as other apps and the icon looks horrible in my dock (which for me almost makes me want to use an app with a nicer icon). The icon doesnt seem to match the main purpose of the software and so is mentally annoying. An app icon should cue my brain as to what it does. Otherwise a phenomenal app.
I own and operate my own small business, part-time, and work full-time elsewhere. Producteev is perfect for keeping me on top of my responsibilites at both jobs, I have it on my home computer, office computer, and my iPhone. If Im abroad, I can login online. Producteev is the best to-do list app out there - going above and beyond the competition. Once your tasks integrate with iCal it will be PERFECT!
I used producteev daily until today. After the updates to the program I tried to update my Mac version but it is now telling me it cannot install because I need Mac OS X 10.7 version or later. So I have to now update my Mac in order to get Producteev working again, when it seemed to be working fine yesterday. I cant even use the existing version, because it tells me I need to update it. I really like producteev, but now I cant even use it. Not impressed at all.
This used to work flawless! now I find it a very cumbersome adventure to assign tasks or even see who is responsible for the task (in the list it shows the number 2 instead of the avatar for the person the task is assinged to) if it is not the person who created it. :( Please fix and then it will be a 5 star again.
The previous version of the app was good, but now it forces you to update to the new version. Unfortunately, the new version is only compatible with OS 10.7 or higher, so I can no longer use the app at all. If you could maintain the backwards compatibility with v2 or at least allow the old version to still function, then that would be great!
I loved the previous version, but the new version is very counter-intuitive in its currenter ireration. Sorting tasks by deadline with the most urgen at the top is the norm for todo lists. In version 2.0, this us unavailable in the desktop version. I have sent Jive two emails regarding this issue and have received no responses. Further, the deadlines used to be colour coded with red for deadlines missed, green for todays deadlines and black for everything else. This feature was very useful and also is not available.
Im using the producteev about one and half year, may be longer, and it is perfect. It has been maintaining since the beginning and i was seeing the progress. Recently it makes me more productive for my free workspaces. Very useful, smart, user friendly and more. The only thing making me sad is the cost one premium workspace is too much. May be you should take care about the options, not provide just two free or $20 per workspace may be it is better to make the cost also per user. Just an opinion but meanly i need it.
